Calgary Garage Suite
A max sized laneway home in Fairview features a four car garage and suite with two bedrooms, two bathrooms and open concept living area.
Built in Fairview, this garage suite was designed to make the most of what the City of Calgary permits for laneway homes. We worked with the neighbors to negotiate relaxations for the property lines and created a space that has size of a full home but still fits with the neighbourhood.
Upstairs, centers on an oversized kitchen island which serves as the dining room table, homework station, and more. There's no compromises made as both bedrooms have three piece ensuite bathrooms and walk-in closets. Storage space abounds with a front closet and massive built-in cabinetry. Likewise, windows across the alley side wall let in natural light. The large balcony has space for family barbecues and captures afternoon sun throughout the summer.
The garage measures in at 1056 square feet and has a double two car garage layout. In-floor heating powered by a hydronic system keeps that space warm year round. Rather than parking in it, our clients chose to split the garage into two sides. Ones serves as a workshop with a full set of power tools. The other is a rec room where kids can play and adults can exercise.
